Yum avocado 🥑

P.S. For a split second, I thought your blackberries was caviar, and I was all woah! Thats a lot of caviar! Lol

LOL. There are no caviar and champagne dreams over here. But it does look caviar. I took a close up picture on my phone but this site seems to enlarge the photo.

There are chocolate bars in the pantry that are calling out my name...

Figured I’d go a little healthier instead:

1/2 cup cottage cheese w/ seasonings (black pepper, garlic salt, cayenne) + 35g frozen seedless grapes + 20g frozen blueberries + 1/2 fl oz pumpkin seeds: 176 calories.

Just prepared the food for 24 h shift tomorrow. It's kind of... scary how much one eats during 24 h. That's what several colleagues say and I agree, lol.

So the longer work shift model stayed in place? 🥺

Lazy lunch today. Jimmy John’s. I usually get an unwich, however, I noticed they have a smaller (Little John) sandwich now.
I got turkey with extra turkey, and added their oil & vinegar (no mayo or cheese) with a half ounce of their “thinny chips”. Not exactly a balanced meal, but it’s hitting the spot today.

total calories: 245 It feels like so much more.

Looks pretty balanced to me 😆

Ugh. So I just made the most delicious almost zero-carb Pasta carbonara and totally forgot to take a picture of it. I ate it all, so no evidence at all!

Anyhoo it was: 1/2 package shiratake noodles, 1 slice of bacon, 1 egg & some parm cheese (and black pepper).

Fry up the cut up bacon until crispy, add shiratake noodles to pan and toss to coat. Remove from heat, add beated egg & parm and toss as heat of noodles will cook the egg until creamy. Season with pepper, Enjoy! #soooooEasy

164 calories.

Yes, unfortunately. It makes changing work places back to where I came from easier. On-call can be cruel as well (I had two shitty ones in a row Wednesday and Thursday for that matter so I'm especially amused that I'm on 24 h tomorrow; same procedure next week: Thursday and Wednesday on call, Sunday 24 h) but at least you can hope for a quiet night.

It's only five more months of this drag. I will miss a few people quite a lot though but in the end contracts are contracts. 😪

*Vegetarian Stuffed chicken Parmesan (Ricotta, parmesan & provolone cheese used)

Only calling it stuffed because there is a layer of ricotta between the chicken patty and provolone/parm cheese. Also maybe because I could only eat 1/2 before feeling ridiculous 🤣

This reminds me of KFC's double down sandwich, except done on lasagna. I love it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
