Past Sunday's Breakfast banana egg pancakes made by hubby. Cleaned my plate. We use the leftover pancakes for lunch sandwiches. Yum!

Bf requested tallarin saltado (Peruvian stir fry) last night. Didn’t end up eating an official dinner because I got full from trying the meat and veggies while I was cooking lol

I find myself doing that a lot lately...

I cooked it so the definite answer to your question is: no! 😂

- cube of mushroom broth dissolved in hot Water

- hot sauce to taste (I use about 0.5 tsp)

- cubed plain tofu (just use your favourite brand)

- coconut milk to taste

Mix everything together except the coconut milk. Heat through in microwave, let sit for about half an hour so the spices can get into the tofu cubes a bit, heat up again. Add coconut milk.

I often add some sliced mushrooms, seaweed or udon noodles but the amount of tofu was a lot already so I skipped that.

Thank YOU Summerset! Will be making it this weekend—it’s everything I love and perfect for the stage I’m at right now. Reminds me of my pre-WLS “old go to”, Tofu Red Curry...had to give it up due to rice, sweetener, etc. It’s one dish I have mourned, but this will bring me back💝. Thanks again!

If you're looking for "red curry like" you might want to use a bit of red curry paste instead of the sauce I used. And press your tofu for a while before using it. It will soak up the spices better. I usually don't bother with it but the taste is really more intense then.

😋Nice, Nice ideas! I will...and will snap a pic when it’s done. Thanks again💖! Enjoy yours, it really looks fantastic as is-I’d love it!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
