Had to try this out now that I am back to "normal" foods. Mission whole wheat low carb tortilla with pizza squeeze sauce, Canadian bacon and fat free mozzarella. This was a go to on my pre-op diet, but with a big garden salad to go with it. Took me 50 minutes, but, I was surprised I could finish it. My stomach handled it with no issues other than I was full for the rest of the day. 245 cal, 28 grams Protein, 17 grams net carbs, 5 grams fat. Kind of carb heavy, but it was worth it.

Tallarin verde for lunch with grilled chicken breast. Used zoodles instead of Pasta and OMG sooo good. It was my first time trying zoodles and I love them! I think I like them better than pasta. I was surprised the sauce I made stuck so well to them and they had the same soft twirly consistency of pasta. I’m amazed lol

Is this considered a salad? 😂

Hi y'all! I finally got the Lo Lo Psylli Chaffle recipe up on the website! It's so low it's silly stupid! Tastes like real bread! Only 37 calories each, 1g net carb, and has 4g protein! We even have a vegan variation for those who want to remain dairy free using Daiya Mozzarella-Like cheese Shreds and So Delicious Coconut Yogurt (plain). They all turned out so well! Hope you'll try them and let me know! Hit us up on instagram @imbacnow2020 and tag us #barihealthylife #imbacnow2020! Can't wait to hear if you make them!

Here's the recipe link!

I think you're gonna love 'em! You can use your big waffle maker, just center the dough in the middle and cook them there or you can do 4 at a time in the big squares cuz they are sticky and don't run! :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
