Gochujang grilled chicken lettuce wraps. There were 3 but I ate one before I remembered to take a pic. I’m stuffed after one!

Taco Tuesday!

In Texas we take Taco Tuesdays seriously. :) Forget Wednesday night church, we go to the Tuesday Church of Tacos! Hehehe.
Show me your Taco Tuesday offerings! What did you have?
We used my Lo Lo Psylli Wraps to make super crunchy tostada shells for <20 cals each and <1g carb each. (YES! I AM YELLIN BOUT IT!) and had crispy beef tostadas. So dang good! The fixins may be THE best part!! Hola Chiquita Fresca! :) Muy delicioso!

I think it might have something to do with all the fresh fixins!!! :)

Gochujang chicken lettuce wraps again. Gochujang burns fast so cooking it on the stove yesterday was a pain. Today I decided to try cooking it with the ninja foodi and OMGGGGG sooo good! What a difference! The marinade stuck to the chicken well without burning and the chicken held it’s juice. I think I’m going to be eating this the rest of the week. Tasted just like the spicy chicken thighs from Korean bbq 🍖

Now all I’m missing is some kimchi...

Thanks! It was thawed and I marinated it overnight. Took about 15 minutes to cook! :)

I've been eating 1/4 - 1/3 of the Lavash bread instead of 1/2 (serving size)

How much do you use?

@GreenTealael is lavash bread something we can eat in weight loss mode or more of a maintenance thing? I have never heard of it.

Hmmmm, That's something to discuss with your NUT/Team. I didn't even think about regularly eating breads until maintenance.

The one I eat: Joseph's Lavash bread, Flax Oat Bran & Whole Wheat, Reduced carbs

Here's the breakdown

Hey hon, will you look on your ingredients and see if it has soy flour or soy isolate in it please? If it's convenient! Love the shape of them!

Ok yeah. I was kinda thinking maintenance. I’m new to all this and am just learning about the “healthy” options for all of the regular foods that was in my diet.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
