Stage 1 diet ( post op) :

Doing the thing like I'm supposed to... Still absolutely no hunger. Even while cooking for others. Haven't even bothered with Jello cups or popsicles yet. Still just fluids.

@GreenTealael has the GERD disappeared?

So far yes, no one can hear my stomach churning & I don't feel it either, but I am also not eating. I will wait a few months to give my final views on it to be certain.

My new fave summer treat: (relatively) low-cal/low-sugar Chocolate-Peanut Butter "frozen dessert". I like it because its not sweet...more a dark chocolate flavour vs a milk chocolate, and the Peanut Butter to chocolate ratio is not too much, just enough to taste.

100 cals per 1/2 cup; 6g protein; 8g NET carbs; 3.5g fat.

I had this after dinner, and as I was pretty low on calories still, I added 1/4 cup of whipped cream (not shown).

How do you like the Strawberries and Cream? My fave is still Bananas and Cream (especially in coffee and smoothies). But I've wanted to try the strawberry but been afraid! :D

Reviews please. And how much are you able to get down at a sitting?

SF Popsicles are pretty heavenly tho...could easily pass on the sf Jello and sf pudding tho.

I don't like any of the flavors straight except Cookies and cream ( but i never drink it straight anyway 😞)

No clue how much I'm able to get down in a sitting because im simply always drinking to meet my quota. Im not measuring just completing items. So far I've tried waters, popsicles once, bai, broth twice, PP shakes and teas. Nothing else.

Also I'm even colder than before patiently waiting for this heat wave 😂

My fancy new spiralizer came in, and zoodles were accomplished. This thing is SO MUCH better than the crappy handheld one that it replaced. I should have bought it to begin with, it was all of $25. I was being silly. So now, I present to you: Zoodle Perfection with Morningstar Farms Griller Bits, and Black olives. Topped with a lovely Alfredo sauce. So fancy!

      Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

      Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

      The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

        Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
