chicken fried cauliflower rice w/wilted lettuces and carrot ribbons at the request of one of my sisters.

I had to make a huge batch and get more ingredients just in case, she loved it so much. I'm surprised.

There was plenty of afters but I forgot to take a pic

Tonight was nacho night at our house. No chips or rice for me, but I enjoyed my meal. Prior to surgery I would have put double this amount on my plate and likely eaten it all. Tonight, I had my fill and I may have eaten half what I plated.

Taco meat, black Beans, salsa, shredded cheese, sour cream, and melted cheese. 20190118_193419.jpeg 20190118_193711.jpeg

What's for dinner? Fathead pizza.... that's right, I said "PIZZAAAA"!!!! Which answers a very frequently asked question here at bariatricpal.... "can I ever have pizza again?". Why YES YOU CAN!!! That is, if you have arrived to the solid food stage after your WLS.

I discovered fathead pizza about a year ago. It is absolutely wonderful. It is a VERY low carb/protein crust, and then you top with your choice of toppings. Just google "fathead pizza" if you want the crust recipe.

So today, I was really craving pizza. So I went to the grocery store and got what I needed. Turned out I wasn't as hungry as I though I was, but no worries, there will probably be leftovers for the next couple of days, even though I'm sharing the pizza with my son and husband.

Toppings are: ground turkey, pepperoni, mozarella cheese, red onion, red pepper, green pepper, and jalepenos. It really was..... OUT OF THIS WORLD!

Balsamic rosemary grilled chicken thighs and baked zucchini. Chicken hit me like a brick. Just getting back into eating it after a small break.

*It may also have been due to eating a small slice of a sourdough baguette. Sorry but I have to show you these I baked using a sourdough starter we've had going for quite some time. Delicious! Worth it!

@ummyasmin I ddon't know what the exact calorie count was. It was over 200 a slice for a cheese pizza on the fathead crust. I know calories with the cheese/ almond flour crust are fairly high, as it has a lot of mozzarella and a little cream cheese in the recipe. I don't log with myfitnesspal anymore...for now, anyway.

Also, the fathead pizza recipe I found didn't tell me how many servings.... it just said "per serving" (?) .

But...low carb, high Protein, and delicious! Your cauliflower Pizza Crust pizza looks great....I would eat it and think it wasn't too dark...yum!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
