I finally have a before/after. :) Sometimes I can't "edit" myself cuz something looks so good. I usually only put what I know will be eaten on my plate and weigh everything. That way I have a clean/healthy plate without leftovers. But I served 3.5oz of salmon + 3.5oz broccoli + 1oz ea avocado and Tomato. (Ended up finishing the avo, cuz I didn't want to throw it out or waste it.)

Ended up eating 3oz salmon, 2oz broccoli, 1oz avo, 1/2oz tom--pretty much what I always eat (by weight). LOL. There is comfort in predictability. I'm a little over 8 months out.

True, I keep dancing around the air fryer purchase... I may take the plunge

I love our air fryer.... I really now want the air fryer oven.... it's the high tech air fryer and so much more... I could get rid of 3 appliances in place of it... but I've been told no more appliances until at least 2 die. LOL

Yes, but what kind?

Ours is a Power XL - The infomercial on TV... LOL.. but I bought on eBay for the normal 1/2 price. I'd definitely recommend investing in the largest basket, it just makes things so much easier.

And for the office... I purchased this one...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01LX9T6HF/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

it was an Amazon daily deal for under $70 - couldn't beat it. Our office mates love it.

I have the basket type like this. I got it on BF, for like $40. It's fine for one person, maybe 2, if one has a tiny tummy like us. I think there are diminishing rewards with the bigger basket. It get deeper, but not really much wider. So it's not very useful space, IMO.

This is what I really want! Which is overkill since I'm single and live alone

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
