I used my own recipe. 2 eggs 15oz part skim ricotta 1/4 cup grated parmesan 1tsp ground garlic 1tsp black pepper Dash of basil 1tsp Italian seasoning 1tsp salt Mix all these well. Spoon 1 to 2 teaspoons into each spot on a mini muffin baking pan that you’ve sprayed with Pam. Sprinkle a touch of reduced fat mozzarella on top of each. Bake 20 minutes at 375. I’m thinking of making a bariatric cooking/recipe blog. I love cooking and being inventive and really want to stay within my approved foods. So it may be neat! Thanks for sharing your recipe, that looks really tasty!! 3 GreenTealael, insta_adventurer and Jscales11 reacted to this

What a great idea doing the recipe blog! Please let us know if you do. I'm a lousy cook, still a few months out for surgery but any ideas and suggestions would be so appreciated! And the pictures are great! 5 TX4everLinds, Orchids&Dragons, insta_adventurer and 2 others reacted to this

That smoothie wouldn’t work for my plan bc of the carb to Protein ratio since almond milk is skimpy on Protein. Regular milk would make it work for me. Just curious. Yes ,I don't tolerate bovine products well (not lactose intolerance) so I have to pick and choose which items I will suffer for. Life long struggle. Generally yogurt, kefir and some cheeses are OK but milk and meat are a no go for me. I live near farms so ive tried farm fresh as well. Sometimes I'm OK with half and half and isolates, but I have to cycle those out with vegan sub's. One of the reasons I was a vegetarian for so long. My body is just built for it. As for the almond milk, I don't need it for the protein, I get that from food, and there aren't many carbs in it either. Other days I can eat a whole chicken breast. Why? Who knows. Could be related to my activity level... maybe when I run more? I should try and notice a pattern but I’m not much motivated too when I have a fifteen year old to eat my leftovers 3 clsumrall, j1540801 and Lela Clark reacted to this

Oh I know there aren’t many carbs in the almond milk, it’s just the ratio.... if I do a smoothie it has to be more than half protein otherwise I just can’t justify it for myself, the carbs exceeding the protein makes me hungrier! I could put a scoop of Protein Powder in or do dairy milk and then it would work for me. I still have trouble getting protein in from just food some days. But drinks in general I can’t do unless they are more protein based. 2 *Meaghan* and GreenTealael reacted to this
