WWS67 2 Posted July 24, 2018 I am just starting my journey and was wondering for those of you who were self pay how long did it take you to have surgery after your initial consultation? thatch 377 Posted July 24, 2018 It took about 5 or 6 weeks for me to go from consultation to surgery. I had to get a psych eval, stress test, nutrition seminar, and a 10 day liver shrink diet before surgery. My BMI was same as yours and my surgery date was July 11.
