MUTiger 0 Posted November 7, 2007 I was banded on October 24th, I have lost 18 pounds, but I haven't lost anything in the last couple of days. I have been experiencing low energy, not feeling like getting up and excercising. Is this normal? I hope my energy gets better. I see my surgeon tomorrow.
amerdoodles 0 Posted November 7, 2007 I have not had my surgery yet but yes this is normal. You'll get your energy back in a few more days or so. Your body is just adjusting to the change and you have no food to help give you energy right now. You'll come around. Hang in there!

morningoasis811 1 Posted November 7, 2007 Hi, I was just banded on 10/25 and have only lost about 10 pounds. I've been on a Protein liquid diet only so far with lots of Water. No real exercise, just walking around where I can. I'm going to start walking today around the block while I'm still home recovering. I have more energy now but I'm still really sore. How much protein are you drinking a day? My goal is 60-80 grams. How are you losing so much??? tell me.
MUTiger 0 Posted November 7, 2007 That is my total pounds since inital visit in Aug. 2007. Since surgery only 6 pounds. I am on soft foods and having a lot of trouble getting my Protein in, trying to hit 70 grams per day. Sounds like you are doing good.

godzgurl75 0 Posted November 9, 2007 I was also banded on the 24th and have lost about 10-11 lbs. I have went walking a couple of times but want to start going everyday. I am on mushies and can eat things like shredded chicken....what you find in canned chicken....but the swelling has really gone down since surgery and the restriction I was getting from that is also going away. I do get hungry more often but have been able to control it. I will get my first fill the week after Thanksgiving and even though it may take a few fills to get to where I want I am so ready for the pounds to start falling off.
