What are you going to do with your clothes that don't fit you anymore?

So far I have a pile of 5 pairs of pants, all in size 3X that I cannot wear anymore. I've been wearing 2X which are now getting too big. I ordered 2 pairs of 1X so I can have 2 pairs of pants that are not hanging on me.

As far as shirts go, I plan to wear last winter's long sleeve shirts. By the time spring comes, I'll have to get new short sleeve shirts, but I'm going to wait to get them so I can get the proper size.

my clothes still fit, my tummy is still really bloated from surgery. i plan to give my clothes to goodwill. sometimes the local curves has and/or weight watchers has an event that they schedule where everyone brings clothes that no longer fit them and they basically swap..free of charge. it's cool.

My local lap band group also does a clothes swap so once I start attending some of their get togethers I will take a pile of my clothes along. Mind you, I had got into the habit of buying stretchy material clothing to fit my every expanding body so I imagine they will fit me for quite a while yet.

Was banded on 10/25/07 and am down a pant and shirt size - Can't believe it.

Went through my closet this weekend and took out all the 3x shirts and larger pants. Three bags went to Goodwill, I hope someone can use them.

Maybe I'm kind of selfish but I won't give any of my things to my local goodwill. I've went from a size 30 pants to a 22 and a 44 to a large shirt. So I cut most of my old cloths up and made a big quilt out of them. I heard someone was going to start a clothing exchange, can't remember which site I saw it on.

I just gave them away as I went, straight into the charity bin.

It was fun at first, but now, when I want to fine tune just a few kilograms and its going to take me down a clothing size, its expensive and annoying!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
