Letsgetgoing2018 448 Posted July 19, 2018 Hi all. Week 2. I am still on full liquids but my doctor said I could try egg whites. Anyone find that the whites are tolerated better? 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
doug548 35 Posted July 19, 2018 eggs are one of the first things I started eating. I eat the whole egg not just the whites and no problem here. I now like the Just Crack an egg cups. They are a perfect size for Breakfast and they fill me up. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
thatch 377 Posted July 19, 2018 A friend who had gastric sleeve recommended finely pureed egg salad as my intro to eggs. I think I'm going to make a test batch tomorrow. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
sillykitty 10,776 Posted July 19, 2018 I did egg whites, cheese and hot sauce. But I have an Iron stomach, so YMMV 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
GreenTealael 25,439 Posted July 19, 2018 Yes, I boiled eggs then just ate the whites, eventually moved to the whole egg . this is still the only way I can really eat eggs 8 months later with no issues.VSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW 167 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

RickM 1,752 Posted July 20, 2018 All you can do is to try them - maybe mash or chop them finely at first, or make them sloppy and liquidy at first. I had scrambled eggs in the hospital and normal boiled ones later the first week. Our general rule was to try new foods, whatever they may be, one at a time to test for tolerance - if it worked, great, if not then try it again in a week or two. Our tolerance for different things is so varied that it's hard to go by others' experiences. 2 Sosewsue61 and Frustr8 reacted to this

Will try them again in a few weeks. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Amc203 9 Posted July 20, 2018 I had no issues with eggs I scrambled mine very soft with a teaspoon of cheese. I ate half and now can eat whole. I’m 3 weeks two days post and tried an omelette with grilled chicken and spinach. I thought I chewed enough and didn’t I ended up throwing up everything 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

summerset 5,265 Posted July 23, 2018 Either soft boil or scramble and prepare it without oil (or cheese etc.) first. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

After my sleeve surgery I am unable to eat eggs unless they are in something like scones or anything else that has eggs in them. I can not eat eggs scambled or boiled at all. They naussiate me. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

I will try egg whites only to see if that makes a difference. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this
