Mel3224 2 Posted July 16, 2018 Has anyone else been told they can never smoke any cannabis after bypass? How about edibles? Do any of you have any experience with this? I’m looking for advice. I will be asking my Doctor but want to hear from some real people. Thanks!

You doc might try to dissuade you, but medically there isn't any legitimate reason why someone should stop. The biggest concern is over consumption from any potential side effects from the medication and sugar content for edibles. But those concerns are easily overcome with proper planning and consideration. 2 Irisvsgirl and FutureRN19 reacted to this
Irisvsgirl 0 Posted July 16, 2018 I researched this same question over and over and even spoke with my doctor about the use of THC, Could never get a straight answer as medically they a prone to dissuade you like Matt said ^^^. So far I have not had any issues , I used before surgery and waited 2 weeks post op to consume again , (High Hemp Wraps , 100% Tobacco Free and Vegan). Overall It actually helped me during my workouts and pain control from the sleeve. For edibles , I also made Protein edibles using whey Protein Powder which was a plus getting the protein intake and making sure its low sugar .
zombievsg 14 Posted July 16, 2018 I smoke daily and consume edibles every other week. Never had any issues besides increased head hunger. (I normally solve that by just snacking on a low cal Protein Bar after smoking). I have noticed that edibles hit me a lot harder now, too. A little too euphoric for my taste. My surgeon only asked me not to smoke for a couple of weeks after surgery because smoking can increase the chances of blood clots. Plus you don't really want to end up having a coughing fit after having stomach surgery. Not fun at all. 2 gENhA and kattrax421b reacted to this
