sammi123 116 Posted July 16, 2018 So I'm at work and was at lunch, 3 wks post op and was having small bites of chicken breast that my team ok'd. I suppose it was too dry because after about 4 bites I felt as though it was caught in my chest and I barely made it to the bathroom before I threw it back up and man did it hurt!! I don't want to waste extra calories or carbs on dressings if I don't have to right now but I wanna eat the chicken for the Protein. Any suggestions? I don't wanna have to go through that again!! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 1,004 Posted July 16, 2018 I was eating chicken at three weeks but, as Creek said, very moist. I added all sorts - mushy tomatoes was a favourite for me. Minimum extra calories, and a nice part of my ongoing eating plan... Dry food didn’t really sit so well for me until 2-3 months. 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

I like them and few calories is always good:) Thanks so much! 2 Biddy zz 🏳️🌈 and Frustr8 reacted to this
BostonWLKC 807 Posted July 16, 2018 Try Some avocado or small amount of low fat mayo? Soaking in broth works too 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

GreenTealael 25,439 Posted July 16, 2018 (edited) Backtrack a bit and finely chop your foods , very small, them chew very well. Make everything super moist (with broth or dressings) , if cheese hurts also go back to yogurt, cottage cheese etc. Don't rush especially if it hurts and as always, let your team know of any changes Edited July 16, 2018 by Tealael 2 2018Pammy and Frustr8 reacted to this

E-girl 98 Posted July 16, 2018 I never thought about soaking chicken in both. That’s a great solution. Thanks! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Moist, and you can add flavor as well, add salsa, or harrissa or thai chili paste, anything really! 2 2018Pammy and Frustr8 reacted to this
