lastchance_2018 11 Posted July 15, 2018 I'm 2 weeks post op and am wondering if I should be doing anything besides walking. I walk 30 min a day and do some household chores, but not all that much as I am always exhausted. What were you doing @ this stage?
thatch 377 Posted July 15, 2018 I'm sure some veteran members will have better advice for you, but 30 minutes a day walking is GREAT! 1 lastchance_2018 reacted to this
Orchids&Dragons 9,047 Posted July 15, 2018 Everyone's different. Do what you can. 30 minutes a day is great. 1 lastchance_2018 reacted to this
lastchance_2018 11 Posted July 15, 2018 Thanks! It's a challenge for sure! Walking 30 min like a turtle then I have to sleep for a few hours! 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
wjgo 272 Posted July 16, 2018 That is good. As you loose weight, you'll be able to do more Pre-op I could make by stand 30 minutes. I can do over 2 hours now, maybe 4. I was able to walk a mile, now 4-5 (not sure because instead of walking I am trying to do a couch to 5k)Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app 1 Orchids&Dragons reacted to this
QTRNY2018 23 Posted July 22, 2018 Walking is probably the best for now! I had lifting restrictions for the first 4 weeks. I know I tried to pick up to a jogging pace but my insides felt funny so I left it to walking. I’m also a yoga fan- but there is a lot of twisting and stretching so get that cleared by your medical provider first!
