I feel like I'm messing up my diet. I eat small amounts, except several times a day.. I'm only going on week 6 and eating things idk if I should be. I'm sick of just drinking Water. I drink other stuff once in awhile.. still not carbonated tho.. idk I feel like I'm failing myself. Also I'm stuck at 210 and can't get past it

Im worried about getting rid of any of my clothes that no longer fit because what if I fully fail and gain back the weight

I cant seem to get past the brain hunger

Can you find your instructions from surgery and locate what level or stage of eating you are on? Stick as close to that as possible and the weight will fall off... Promise

But you have to do the work...

Drinking what other stuff? Anything with sugar in it, or juice is going to cause cravings for carbs, and then more cravings or more bad choices.

You are not very far out from surgery and still healing, have inflammation, and in the learning phase of eating. Follow your surgeon's food plan.

As far as head hunger - you might want therapy or at least to do some reading on emotional eating - you have to find other ways to cope with things without resorting to food. It sucks, but that is what we have to do.

Get rid of the clothes, you are NOT going back, don't look back! Celebrate and embrace the new you all along the way, take care of you, pamper yourself - you just had major surgery, and did a brave, hard thing - enjoy it! Go to resale shops and get some 'new' clothes that fit, get a pedicure, etc... The best is right in front of you....

Well I just had a busy filled weekend with my family.. lots of moving.. and now everyone has left and it's time to settle.. weighed myself and I lost 7 lbs over the weekend. So that helps.. just was stuck at 210 for Abt 2 weeks and was losing faith... I do need to get rid of the clothes but still feeling I need them, I did get rid of some pants that were too big even before surgery. But scared now lol.. I need to wake up and get on track.

And head hunger is just me getting bored and thinking I need to eat. When I know I'm don't need too.. it used to be my go to

Now i drink sugar free teas and stuff like that. If I'm up and doing a bunch of stuff, like the other day I helped my sister in her barn I drank Powerade. I do drink propel but there's only so much of that u can drink

As long as it’s SF and calorie free, there’s nothing wrong with other things to drink besides Water. I actually can’t drink straight water, makes me nauseous since surgery. I drink a variety of teas, crystal light, water additives, ect.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
