LindyPablo 29 Posted July 14, 2018 Anyone else have these? I am 4 days post op. I have a call in to the surgeon on call (no call back yet after 3 hrs 🙄)... hoping to get a muscle relaxer instead of taking so much oxy, since the cramps are the only real pain I still have. Just curious if anyone had the cramping pains on the left side of belly button... similar to when they took out the drain) and if so, when they went away. It does sound like they’re fairly normal- but they’re killing me. I just need to have an end in sight!
lucidreverie 13 Posted July 14, 2018 Yes I have them. Try ice, going for a walk or gently pushing in on the spasm. sleep propped up. Heat may help too. It gets less after awhile. 1 LindyPablo reacted to this

jmart_RN 18 Posted July 16, 2018 I had the cramp also as well and my surgeon said that it was the largest incision because it was the one where the camera was placed so he had to put extra sutures. It was hard to sleep on that side. I did a lot of walking the first week post-op and I never really noticed when the cramping went away.
Little Kansas Kitty 213 Posted July 16, 2018 I'm 3 weeks out and my left "biggest" incision is the only one I still feel. I had those weird spasms at the beginning. Brace yourself when you laugh, poop, sneeze or cough. It does get better but I hear it can take 4 or 5 weeks. I'm hoping I'm near the end because it's annoying to not be able to pick up stuff off the floor. My house turned into a tornado disaster site as I wasn't picking up much after my daughter and her cousins and friends. I paid her extra allowance to pick everything up this weekend. It's just too hard. We'll get there and we'll be feeling ourselves again. Just keep on resting and taking it easy.
