GreenTealael 25,439 Posted July 14, 2018 Dry meat...homemade. Take your favorite lean beef like round steaks....cut it up in thin strips. Marinate overnight in your favorite flavors. I love garlic, hot peppers, Worcestershire, and Montreal Steak Seasonings. Dangle these guys from one of your oven racks...and put a cookie sheet covered in tinfoil under them to catch the drips (easy clean up). Set the oven to 200 degrees and leave them in there 4-6 hours until they're dry and leathery. So much better than Jerky. If you taste this...you will never buy jerky again...and your family will devour this as fast as you can make it. Store in airtight container.Have you tried to make this with fish ? Like salmon jerky? Would that work?VSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW
GreenTealael 25,439 Posted July 14, 2018 Protien pancakes! (quick oats, egg whites, cottage cheese, baking powder, almond milk....in food processor...makes a great batter) I like to eat these guys with a ton of strawberries crushed with splenda and sugar free whipped cream on top. Looking forward to this!VSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted July 14, 2018 (edited) I have not tried salmon Jerky this way....I don't think you could cut the fish thin enough to do it this way without it falling apart, and typically fish jerky is smoked. I do HIGHLY recommend doing salmon steaks on a grill outside, though...so so so so good! Creekimp13 5,840 Posted July 14, 2018 Name brand Splenda vs Store brand Sucralose......I can't tell the difference. I ran blind taste tests at home with three people.... and we couldn't pick out which was which. So now we buy store brand for practically half price. 2 GreenTealael and Frustr8 reacted to this

I'll admit I put some splenda in the batter to make them sweeter. 220 calories, 20 grams of Protein. This is like a donut for Breakfast with your coffee guilt free. What is this? I’ve never heard of it! 2 Frustr8 and GreenTealael reacted to this
jess9395 5,449 Posted July 15, 2018 See to each his own I can’t stand the Protein pasta.... BUT I love the banza chickpea Pasta and the Explore Asian edamame Pasta (at Costco). But I never liked Premier Protein either.Love the whips Greek yogurt too though that’s a big winner! And the Flapjacked Mighty Muffins, but I didn’t add those in till I was at goal bc the carb count is way high.Kirkland the costco brand makes a Protein Bar that’s even better than the Quest bars! 2 Frustr8 and GreenTealael reacted to this
