bdroubay 13 Posted July 14, 2018 I am about 7 weeks post op from the sleeve. I have lost 42 pounds since surgery and 88 pounds total. I am eating the right foods and drinking Water. My struggle as been exercise. I was all about it before surgery and after I haven’t been able to have the motivation to get back to the gym. I feel like I am behind where I should be in weight loss and I feel it is the exercise portions. I am looking for any tips or advise on how to get back the motivation to exercise. Thank you for the support. Sometimes motivation is tricky so i don't rely on it, instead try i make it routine. Build it into your life make it habit so that when motivation fails you have a pattern to fall back on. Can you find ways to casually slip exercises into your life that don't seem like huge adjustments? like lunges, planks, squats, taking the stairs for no reason, small dance parties just because, walking instead of driving to the store, etc. That way attending the gym does not dictate whether or not you exerciseVSG2017 HW 249 SW 238 CW 169 2 allwet and dorothybey84 reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
allwet 868 Posted July 14, 2018 Set a time and go just like any other appointment you have. Dont think about it just go. I find once i am there and start i feel great. Its just that moment when you have to go that can jam you up. I always feel so much better after the workout than i did before.
