Life is great 1month after surgery. Amazing meals

Recommended Posts

Life has changed drastically for me as far as how I eat and what I eat. Here are some of my meals I’ve been eating 1 month out. Life is good 😁 I’m now all about organic /real/ and very clean eating. I refuse to eat processed food with artificial anything. I have great recommendations for very clean vegan Protein Powder and the best liquid Vitamin solution. Send me a note for recommendations.

Wow, you've got a stomach made of steel! I was still on purees/very soft foods 1 month out. Yeah, you!

I’m not sure if I’m lucky or what. I had a lap band for 10 years. My band was a total disaster. It was 10 tears of being bulimic. I had it removed 3 months ago and decided I would need anything. After 30 days I gained 20lbs. I just had my sleeve surgery a month ago and it’s been an amazing thing so far. Great recovery and able to eat what I posted. Couldn’t be happier. I just want people to know there is hope. Believe it or not I’m also able to drink. The only issue is heartburn but Zantac seems to take care of that.

You know, I think some people do. My stomach has had few objections, and it sure has made life easier. Most everything in those pics I could have eaten at one month....with the exception of the egg and the toast. I used to love eggs...they were a huge part of my diet. They just hit me wrong now. I still eat them on occasion, but after half an egg I'm like...bleh. Not sure what that's about, but it's kinda sad. I eat whole grain toast now, but it took 3 months or so until it was comfortable. And corn on the cob is still my longed for Nemesis. LOL

I'm a big supporter of semi vegan diets...so this food looks great to me.

Others will scream OMG, the carbs!!!! They can lump it. There are a lot of ways up the mountain. My nutritionist loves my diet. (I eat mayo Clinic Diet...which resembles Mediterranean or Japanese diet)

To each their own. Glad you found something you can live with that you love:)

In the end...that's a big piece of the puzzle, I think. Really loving your forever diet.

Try switching the whole grain bread for Ezekiel whole grain bread if your not already using it. Its sprouted grain bread.

Looks good to bad I don't like a bunch of veggies. Yes I've tried the ones I don't like a few times and prepared different ways. Avocado squash kale eggplant zucchini nope not happening. Kinda of envious of those who can eat like that lol

@Chariff do you mind sharing more of your meal ideas? I love what I see and hope I can eat these foods because most of the ingredients you shared are ones I love. Are you still doing well at 3.5 months out?

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
