newlife 0 Posted November 6, 2007 :kiss2::clap2::whoo:My request for lapband authorization was submitted on Nov. 1. It was approved on Nov. 4. I am still in shock. I don't have it in writing yet but I have the approval number. I'll post my surgery date as soon as I know it. This gives me a whole new meaning to "down side"! Freebird 0 Posted November 7, 2007 You are giving me hope. My paperwork is to be submitted by Friday to Cigna. I so bad want my surgery before Thanksgiving and there is a huge possibility it could happen if Cigna is on the ball and approves me next week. I am so crossing my fingers and toes!!!! Congratulations to you.

TxArcher 2 Posted November 10, 2007 A word of praise! The insurance coordinator called me today and said that apparently the way my insurance is set up, after I jumped through all their hoops, I was automatically qualified and approved! that came MUCH faster than I thought it would!!!!!!!!!! I just submitted to insurance on the 7th. I will have surgery the last week of November. WOW that is just a few weeks away! I already have the 30th set up as a surgery date, but I think I will bump it up a couple days to make sure my stay in the hospital is covered. I think if I have surgery on the 30th, and get discharged on the 1st of December, they may not cover the first, because I canceled the insurance on the first of Dec. enough of my rambling... this is really going to happen!
