wjgo 272 Posted July 9, 2018 Are there any weight loss rates one should be hoping g to achieve? I would imagine that such a rate would be a function of excess weight for men and women.I am almost 4 calendar months post-op and I started at 164 lbs excess weight, and have been averaging 3.8 lbs /week last 6 weeks, pretty straight trendline. Is there a way I can know if I am exceeding typical goals, or faling short, and a way to see how those parameters change as I approach my goal weight? Matt Z 4,139 Posted July 9, 2018 The sleeve has an up to 70% of the excess weight loss rate in the first year. Going off your call out. At 6 foot 1, 394.9, your projected losses are: 61 lbs by 3 months post op 103 lbs by 6 months post op 144 lbs by 12 months post op. Calculations drop to 60% of the excess for the next 2 years or so, and then 55% for the next 3 years. https://www.bariatric-surgery-source.com/gastric-sleeve-success-rate.html

wjgo 272 Posted July 9, 2018 Thanks for link. My surgery was actually 353.1. so it appears that I am ahead of that chart projection, but only by 5.6 lbs or 10% of the projection.Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
wjgo 272 Posted July 10, 2018 I am trying to find info from people that reached their ideal weight and what their loss profile was like. I am not settling for 70% excess weight loss.Sent from my XT1609 using BariatricPal mobile app
