There is alot of Protein in lentils and black Beans which I eat tiny portions of through the week. I have some black Beans in the crock pot right now.

Exactly as @Orchids&Dragons said. beans and lentils are good, but they are not very Protein dense compared to other sources. "tiny portions" throughout the week is not going to make a dent your protein needs.

I get it, Protein Shakes, Water, etc., don't taste great. But you really don't want to go very long depriving your body of protein.

The Protein waters are easier to get down, imho. They're still quite sweet, so I Water them down or add ice. But both the waters and the shakes counts toward both your Fluid and your protein requirements.

They tasted awful maybe I’ll try to Water it down like you I’m getting fluids from the water/ crystal light and one Protein Shake

Have you tried Protein2O? It actually had no Protein taste at all to me, I really liked the flavors I tried.

And they do sell it at Walmart, at least my,local, one does The Pure Protein waters, maybe Sams Club or costco. Also check Meijer, Target, Kroger, Winn Dixie whatever else, you might, have around, failing that Bariatric Pal Store and last resort Megopolis Amazon. I'd much, rather enrich Alex Brecher's wallet --who,looks out for us here than Amazon, who just lives for profit. But that may just be my viewpoint,on the subject. It is still a country with free choice.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
