BlueGirl1920 94 Posted July 6, 2018 I would be lying if I said I didn't like it. I am trying to not let it go to my head. I am liking what I see in the mirror. My confidence is better than it has ever been. I suddenly have friends coming out of the woodwork and my schedule is always full. I have energy and I am active and alive again. I feel like I have been given a second chance at life. I am using every spare moment to try new things and embrace all of the wonderful things I couldn't before. Sex is better than ever and my labido is off the charts these days. I only have 34lbs left to hit my goal weight and I am not yet 6 months out from surgery. If you are on the fence about this surgery it is so worth it. The food will get replaced with things far better and the pain at first really isn't that bad. Don't let fear keep you from being happy. Born in Missouri 1,264 Posted July 6, 2018 (edited) If you're this happy now, I can't wait to read your post once you reach your goal weight. It's always inspiring to hear about how someone's life has changed for the good... or in your case ... the GREAT! I do wonder about the statement, "I suddenly have friends coming out of the woodwork..." Are these new friends or friends you already had but who didn't really begin to notice you until you lost 60lbs? (If it's the latter, I'm inclined to question the meaning of the word "friends".) BlueGirl1920 94 Posted July 6, 2018 Good question, most a friends I already had but hadn't reached out to in a long time. Some are new. Until recently, I pretty much locked myself in the house and never wanted to connect with people. Sent from my SM-G930V using BariatricPal mobile app

How far post-op you are? I've yo-yo'd all my life and LOVE life thinner. I can't wait to be back to where you are now. You're so right about "the food will get replaced with things far better".... Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. 2 BlueGirl1920 and BostonWLKC reacted to this
