just be sure to use the "dip" mix, I can't vouch for the Salad Dressing seasoning.

Good call out, I have one of each, so I'll definitely use the dip mix

I am not a yogurt person!
I have bought some fat free Chobani & FAGE brands and can’t seem to eat more than a spoonful, taste is too bitter. So I am curious as to how you all incorporate your Greek yogurt into your meals. I am 6 weeks post up and starting to incorporate new textures.
any suggestions.
I love the dannon light and fit Greek yogurt. It doesn't have as much of a bite to it. Or the chobani Greek drinkable but that has a bit too much sugar.

I would try to he Torani flavorings, add the Peanut Butter stuff they talk about on here, I think it's called PB2 or even stirring a little Crystal Light, powder in. Add it Roto something b else already on your diet, one girl says she even mixed it with salsa, don't know if I would go that far, but taste buds are. different. I used to stir, peanut butter into strawberry ice cream before I started on this reformulation of my body. Oh and also peanut butter and lettuce sandwiches.😛🌈

I wasn't a Greek yogurt person either until I decided to have the surgery and I had to figure out the whole Protein thing. I loved triple zero, cannot tolerate it anymore something about the sweetener. Loved the one Creek talked about, then that kind made me sick too.

So I make my own now, the tartness can be adjusted and you can keep it "runnier" if you like but you're sacrificing the protein per ounce. So incredibly easy if anyone is interested, I make mine in my instapot. I'm not a fan of plain yogurt so I make a fruit "smash" and add that. I just like I know what is in mine, no fillers, no Gelatin. All I need is milk, half a cup of my previous batch of yogurt, my instapot and my nutmilk bags to strain out the whey. I guess I just like making stuff lol!

I switched to Greek yogurt when I decided to have surgery. It took me some time to find one I like. I use Triple Zero and Great Value fat free plain. I make a fruit dip with it and a veggie dip. I like to use the veggie dip in my shredded chicken salad instead of light mayo. It adds more Protein in. I have not had my surgery yet and have had issues getting my daily protein goal in.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
