Had my sleeve done 2 days ago. I feel worse now than right after. Every muscle in my body hurts. It hurts my calves just to walk. I can't feel my stomach still under numbing meds. A lot of gurgling going on. Hope it gets better soon!

I am day 3 post op. Lot of gurgling and some pain when liquids go down. Up until yesterday I vomited every time I changed positions but that has stopped. Tolerating Jello and ice pops now in addition to the Water. Haven’t tried juice or broth yet. Hoping each day gets a little better.

I’m praying for you. I know that feeling and it sucks. It will get better. One day at a time.

Had mine on Tuesday. Just super tired. No more pain pills, just Tylenol as needed. Hurts when I laugh, like I did a million sit ups 😂

Had mine on the 3rd, the first week was rough. I was back @ the hospital Monday because the doctor thought I had developed an abscess - thankfully the CT was clear. I seem to be on the mend, but still not overly optimistic. First week out I was depressed and felt like I made the biggest mistake of my life and instead of being on the road to better health I was in a nightmare. Tired of people saying this is the "easy" way...c'mon, this hasn't been easy @ all.

Last chance...sorry to hear. Thank god you didn’t have an abscess. No. By no means is this easy. It’s brutal at times for some of us. Hang in there. Best of luck for a speedy recovery.

You have just run a marathon for your health. There were twists and bends, steeply uphill at times, moments when you don't know how you are going to continue. You are stiff now, sore in places you never noticed you had before, you feel like just sitting down, just watching instead of competing, but no you are going to keep on. It's a race, but it's Your Race, yours alone and suddenly, in a moment of clarity you realize you can and will make it after all. I And I will be cheering you on for my own race will be starting soon and I want to do as good as you, to run as smoothly on my own race. If I see you ahead, I won't quit either. So,keep going, Please?

I had sleeve done on 7/2 and left hospital 7/4. I’ve struggled with getting my liquids in but haven’t had to go to hospital. I’m off the pain meds but still feel sore and exhausted. Lucky for me my pain meds was in liquid form but no such luck with my ADD and blood pressure meds. 🤢 I’m still super confident in my decision though and haven’t had any regret. We got this!

Well I’m day four post op. Every day has gotten a little better. Really drinking well. Having Jello and ice pops as well as Water. Will try broth later on today. No more nausea thank goodness. Pain is bearable. Mostly when I attempt to get out of bed. Just have to splint. I hope all of you who are freshly post op are coming along well. Each day is a better day. Stick with the plan.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
