askeens86 2 Posted July 1, 2018 (edited) I had the vsg surgery April 11, 2016 by Dr. Gluck, in Muskegon, Michigan. I was able to get down to 198. Well 10 months after surgery and over 150lbs lost, I found out I was pregnant with my son. After I found out I stopped the healthy lifestyle and started back at my old bad habits. Now I only gained 20lbs the whole pregnancy and I was basically sick the whole pregnancy, vomiting. After I had my son, i breastfed and became active so at my month checkup i got back down to 198. Well here I am almost 8 months after having my son and I'm up to 242. Well I did the pouch reset and lost 10lbs because I was 252. I'm wondering if there is anything else I can do to continue losing and stay away from garbage processed foods. I'm trying to be good to myself and not become a failure. I'm scared I'm going to become unhealthy again. I mean I have been doing good so far but I want to continue Edited July 1, 2018 by askeens86
SouthernGirl76 74 Posted July 1, 2018 I would suggest going back to your original plan. For my fist 6 months I had a really strict plan. Oh! And contact your nutritionist for help. Good luck.
Lyngolean 81 Posted July 1, 2018 At our clinic support group meetings, they encourage people to come back if they are struggling with weight regain after surgery. They have mentioned using medications to help with this. This is my biggest fear- weight regain, askeens86. Congratulations on your baby! Pregnancy and motherhood can truly be a challenge for somebody with issues with eating and weight. I speak from experience! 3 Frustr8, SouthernGirl76 and ProudGrammy reacted to this
