4 weeks post surgery - should my abdomen be tender and bloated?

So I had my sleeve on June 1 and I'm supposed to go back to work this coming Tuesday. However, every time I get dressed and have something around my waist it gets really uncomfortable. No hard core pain, but really tender. Even my pajama pants are uncomfortable, and I have to pull them down below my belly. My belly isn't hard.

Could it just be gas? I also am struggleing to get more than 4 cups of Water a day, and I'm going around 3 days between bowel movements (not to get too personal...) And I've been stuck at the same weight for 6 days now...

Any advice?

My stomach was really bloated for the 1st 4 weeks or so. I was so constipated. I now take a stool softener every day & have Metamucil every other day. I’m 6 weeks out now & I have finaly been feeling well enough to do more. I had A RNY.

Thanks for your resonse, toodlerue. My doc won't let me take metamucil (I took a little one day and it really caused a lot of pain.) I'm trying to get in enough Water to help. I don't feel constipated - I think my body is just in shock at going to so little food, and has to adjust.
