Recommended Posts

Can someone tell me how I update my statistics that show on the left hand side of my posts? Thank you in advance!

They hide it.

Go to the bar at the top.

Pick "Patients"

Then "My Surgery"

If you want to update your weight...pick Progress.

I update my weight through Patient Info when I remember but I never see my info anywhere. Not that I care. I already know my details! 😄

Go to: PATIENTS (5th heading from your left, on top of screen).

Select MY SURGERY in the pull-down menu.

Select PROGRESS (see squiggly arrow on the left side of your screen).

Enter your new stats.

Hmm...I don't use the app, just on my laptop. Anyone know if I can create the cute little tracker graphic on the actual site, not the app? Thank you MdmMargott. Maybe I need to get the app...

Well I went to it today, made some progress, I now b have my weights notated, that's the good part, when I got page #2 and put my info, it is still terlon, slid right off without stitcking, Don't know where Abbot Northwestern Hospital is, I would assume Evanston Illinois, folks it is all,I can. do to make it back and forth to Columbus and OSU, I'll be ding dang dinged if I am going to fly into Chicago and out to Northwesern unless someone hangs a big fat monetary carrot in front,of my nose. And although not everyone wants my surgeon, Dr Needleman he is my designated dude and I am hanging with him. His golden staples and sutures are going to make me into a brand new woman!👉👸👈❤

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
