Ok so the 20th was surgery. I expected the gas and pain etc. didn’t think I was different from anyone else in that are.

But I think it was Monday I took some MOM for Constipation. Had extremely loose no form tiny movement.

Then Wednesday I was allowed more food choices so I added in bits here and there as allowed etc.

the problem being I feel very bloated and gasy and I took more MOM and nothing.

Anyone know what to do or had this before

As you transition to new food groups, your body may react differently to them. When I started eating Beans, my gas levels went way up.

Also there is a phase, luckily it is a short phase which is best described as "Never Trust A Fart".

Milk of Magnesia isn't going to help gas though, you'll want Beano, GasX or some other gas specific, Milk of Magnesia is a laxative, so it's going to help with constipation, it also acts as an antacid. But not as a gas reducer.

GasX and walking. My dietitian suggested that I make it a habit to take a 10-15 minute walk after every meal which helped me tremendously. It's a big experiment right at first to figure out what food works and what doesn't so just take it slow.

I think I just might do that walk after each meal. Not sure I can do the ten minutes yet still in a lot of pain but for five I can do

And gradually 5 minutes will👣 become👣,10, 10 becomes 👣20 and almost without effort you will make it to a👣 half hour. Be patient with your body, down deep it still wants to be,your friend even if you did play such a nasty trick is with the surgery!👣

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
