Wedding Ring Falling Off!

Recommended Posts

Past few weeks my wedding ring has gone from "loose"...to "way too freakin loose"....to "Ok, that time It missed being lost forever by inches"

Had a jeweler fit it with a resizing wire, but think I'm gonna have to get a bit cut out of it eventually.

What a weird unexpected problem. Who knew?

If your wedding ring starts to get loose? Pay attention and get it fixed...my jeweler said more people lose wedding rings after bariatric surgery than you can imagine.

Mine is loose but not quite falling off (I have sausage fingers).

but I wear gloves for work and I am constantly putting them on and taking them off that when i take them off, the glove is bringing my engagement ring with it lol. The wedding band is ok but coming off slightly. I have just given up wearing them. I am going to buy a cheap band from Walmart. Once I hit goal weight/maintain, I will get them resized

I actually have had 3 wedding rings (Same wonderful woman) due to getting fat. I found a novel way to keep my favorite wedding ring, a killer Tungsten Carbide ring from falling off... by using my original white gold wedding ring from 20 years ago as a "stopper"! (20 year anniversary this November 13th) . The slack is worse now, this photo was taken 20+ lbs heavier ago.

I just had to take mine off because they went flying across the room. I have already resized mine twice before, and my jeweler said that sizing them too many times can wear on the quality of the metals. so I'm waiting until I hit goal before I resize mine. Doesn't bother me much, I had gone almost a year without wearing them before, due to my fingers being too fat .

I can't resize my ring. Tungsten Carbide is carved. So I have to send my ring back and they will send me a new one in my size.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
