I guess this was one of the reasons why it may have been in poor tastes to assume someone should could would have the surgery. I guess a better questions may have been would more public figures openly have surgery if the stigma of the "easy way out" was removed from this option? And would that then be a public health courtesy or disservice ? 1 TakingABreak reacted to this

Even in the episode of "This Is Us", where Kate discussed weight loss surgery, it wasn't very positive and the risk factors were over exaggerated, in my opinion. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

Never saw the show, but before watching my 600 lb life I never even considered wls and definitely not for myself
Frustr8 7,886 Posted June 29, 2018 Now there is something I watch with sick fascination. I'm sure Dr Now has had people try to jerk him around, but if I had been doing my level best, following all the rules to the inth degree, I didn't lose the100 pounds but 90 I would not be wanting to be treated shabbily. The fast,i am seeing him is because he is my last, resort, my last hope, slam your door in my face, I will kill myself sooner instead of letting food slowly do it. If I could win the weight war away from there I would not have showed up.
