Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! I am not a freak!! I've been hot most of my life, fogging up car windows, running the fan 365 days a year.I live in Norther California, it is 63 degrees right now and I've worn my jacket in the office all day.

I've invested in wool lined boots, cute ones. I've always wanted a pair, but they made me too hot so I didn't. And the best part is now I do not mind snuggling up to my super stove of a boyfriend at night!!!

Will have to look up the theories mentioned; they all seem reasonable, but I am curious.

Thank you all again. ~panda

I personally stay hot I wish I was cold. I have trouble sleeping at night I wake up sweating and this started after I was banded.

I hope everything is okay. Seems like cold is the general feeling.

I have been having trouble with my teeth since being banded also. They seem to "hurt" almost. I was worried that I am maybe missing something in my diet that I need for them. But then I thought about it and it seemed silly. Not drinking soda and avoiding sweets is good for my teeth so I am stumped as to why they are so sensitive. My gums also seem to be swollen a little too. I have a dentist appt. on Tuesday and plan to bring this up to him. Perhaps he can suggest something. For now I have just been using toothpaste for sensitive teeth and trying to avoid foods/drinks that bother me.

That sounds awful to deal with. I have teeth issues, but mostly from grinding them at night. Let us know what the dentist thinks, okay?

Eeek, hope its not scurvey! Not seriously, you'd be unlikely to get scurvey in this day and age but ARE you eating enough vegetables and fruit?

quote]

I am still pre-op and on a liquid diet. I can't have any fruit and I salad for dinner everyday, with some meat. I have two shakes a day for lunch and Breakfast. The only thing I am doing "wrong" is not taking my Vitamins everyday, but I am getting better.

Yes I noticed this also!! Cold cold cold!! My boyfriend is smaller than I am and of course he's always cold and im always sweating, but since the surgery its been the other way around....also my teeth hurt, I'm wondering if this is because of all the liquids? hmmm....oh well I wouldnt trade it for the world :)

I used to ALWAYS be hot. I always carried a fan with me in my purse, because I was always breaking a sweat. Since surgery, all of a sudden i am cold. I have never been cold in my life. I could wear flip flops in the snow.... Now, I have to put on a sweater when it's in the 60's!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
