I drink over 100oz./day, so I don't think that's a problem. This is less than I drank pre-surgery, but still should be plenty. I think I may have been a camel in a past life ;)

You'd be surprised how much fluids we actually need vs what's recommended. Try working your way back up to your normal, and hot fluids tends to be more satisfying than cold IMHO

This is exactly what has me terrified. Right now, I have to eat this often to get all the Protein in. But I feel like I'm setting myself up for disaster by eating every couple of hours. Last night I had a shake at 8:30 because I was still 28g short!

Maybe the solution is upping the Protein in what you consume? Protein puddings, fortifying your purees with protein, as you mentioned above.

I'm in the same boat. I'm often eating or drinking to get protein when I'm not hungry. I actually just got some stuff this weekend so I can make higher Protein Shakes (greek yogurt, Protein Powder etc.), so I can knockout most of my protein requirements with one drink.

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
