Kadiev 0 Posted June 23, 2018 I am 4 days post op. I keep having a pressure build inside my chest that ultimately leads to a spam type of thing like a hiccup. It's extremely uncomfortable. Anyone else having the same? Also I'm having really bad acid reflux and all I'm drinking is Water. Ugh!

Chunkysoup 75 Posted August 1, 2018 Did you have a hiatal hernia repaired? I did and was having hiccups that wouldn’t go away, it was pretty painful. My nurse told me it was from the hiatal hernia repair.
Bariatricguy03 5 Posted August 1, 2018 I had a hernia repair as well and those hiccups were not nice at all. They went away about day 4 though 1 Chunkysoup reacted to this
domi 237 Posted August 3, 2018 You are probably drinking too fast. Try sipping on ice chips to slow down your sips or change the temperature of the Water. After surgery you are swollen for a week or two and it takes a little more time for the Fluid to go down. You are kind of like a clogged pipe right now. It will get better, but remember tiny sips go down easier.
