Anyone else struggle with Protein?

Im having a hard time getting all the Protein in...I did good in the very beginning, I find the Protein Bars intolerable. The Premier Protein shakes are good but take so long to drink, by the time I can finish one I havent even ate anything for hours. I know protein inhibits weight loss and I seem to be on the slower end of losing weight 38 pounds in 3 months, I know everyone is different. I have lost 4 pant sizes...should I put so much worry into getting that protein in?
