saygrace 122 Posted July 29, 2018 end of post-op day 3! felt pretty good today, was able to walk around a lot. my thighs are all bruised up though from having to do lovenox injections which is annoying. had to take a stool softener to get things going. have just been taking 650mg of tylenol and haven’t had to take my dilaudid which i’m very glad about! what was easiest for me to get down today was hot Water with a chicken bullion tossed in. i prob had 32 oz of just that (counts as a clear liquid in my post op diet!). for some reason i can’t get applesauce down, it just feels like it’s stuck in my sernum? anyone else have an issue like that? also went out to walgreens with my sister and that wiped me out, which was really weird to experience. but i am only on the end of day 3 so i’m not beating myself up about getting tired so fast. I had to inject it into my tummy. It was awful! Glad you are doing great! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

Longest most frustrating week of my life! Was so glad that he ended them after a week instead of the original 10 days he told me I had to do it

Lucky you about the shots. I had to take them because of the birth control I’m on. It’s been ruining my life for the past couple of months so I’m having it removed from my arm on Monday. And definitely don’t force the liquids. Drinking too much makes you feel like a brick just hit your pouch. And congrats on the 10 lbs!

I don’t drive but they told me it was fine as long as I wasn’t on my liquid narcotic pain killers which I only took the first day I came home. And I’m guilty of stepping on the scale every single day 🤦🏽♀️

MN_Meg770 125 Posted July 29, 2018 I’m 5 days post op and honestly really struggling with cravings, commercials, etc. Hoping a couple weeks out when I move to pureed stuff this gets easier. Just sipping Water and Clear Liquids is getting old. I’m hanging in there because I know the end result is worth it.

I think you will feel much better when you get to the purée stage. Hang in there!
