AEdoesRnY 531 Posted August 9, 2018 I was told gummy vitamins can lead to bezoars...I may be an idiot but I thought that was a harry potter thing and not also a real thing!
Frustr8 7,886 Posted August 9, 2018 Easy way to be thinking of it- hairball. Although these also can be food Fiber residue, I still by what I called them.
clsumrall 535 Posted August 10, 2018 Well I am just 5 days away from my 2 week liquid diet then surgery on August 29 th 11:00 am. So my question is to have or gave not a food funeral. I’m more on the side of not but then my mind keeps telling me how good a prime rib dinner would be. Yikes 3 clsumrall, GamePlan18 and Cat B reacted to this

Yikes The right answer is no but you have to do what will be best for you mentally. I started today & went out for steak last night. 1 clsumrall reacted to this
J San 1,071 Posted August 10, 2018 I say go for it. Maybe try to moderate what you eat, don't just go to town on it. I had my 1st piece of steak today post op. Could have had it anytime in the last week but wasn't in the mood for it. Gotta say, was not as satisfying as I imagined. I don't think my taste buds have changed but things seem to be more bland/not satisfying?????????? Good luck on your 2 week liquid diets @clsumrall and @ChellNC 2 ChellNC and Kcoley reacted to this
ChellNC 162 Posted August 10, 2018 Thanks J San! Strange how tastes can change after surgery. 1 clsumrall reacted to this
clsumrall 535 Posted August 10, 2018 Thanks you 2 it’s funny we all wanted steak. If I do it I think I’ll have a filet. Very lean and maybe a sweet potato. 1/2 cup of course. :) 1 1 ChellNC and clsumrall reacted to this
Jbyerly101 13 Posted August 10, 2018 Wow, steak sounds amazing right now. Maybe that’s just because I have had anything but liquids in 3 weeks 3 Kcoley, MargoCL and Cat B reacted to this

I’m sad I won’t get to do a food funeral, funds are too tight right now for me to be able to go out to eat. 1 clsumrall reacted to this

clsumrall 535 Posted August 10, 2018 GamePlan18 we are twins. Very excited to meet you. I know we have no money to go out either tomorrow I’m gonna scrounge through our freezer and see what we have. I know I have boneless ribs. It’s not steak but it sure is good :) 1 clsumrall reacted to this
ALFxRNY 540 Posted August 10, 2018 6 weeks post-op today! I can’t believe how quickly 6 weeks went by. I cannot say that I’m truly happy with my progress. Due to hormones, stress, and everything else my body is just fighting me and not losing at all. If it weren’t for how great I feel, I’d probably have all of the regrets. I do notice slight changes in my body. Everything is looser, my boobs and thighs are shrinking, my tummy is super jiggly (but not smaller). All I can do is keep on pushing through this stall and hoping for the best! 4 1 ChellNC, Chrisb428, Kcoley and 2 others reacted to this

You have such a wonderful attitude, I really admire your spirit and how you’re responding to the process not being what you’d expected! 1 Luzbella reacted to this

At the end of the day I just have to try to get this tool working. I’m sure the stalls will end when my body finally adjusts. I can’t give up on it, that’s not an option. I didn’t go through this to be the same! 2 Luzbella and AEdoesRnY reacted to this
