I need help, so this happened to me just now

So I took a teaspoon of Jello (dulece de leche) and just licked the spoon... few mintues later I was in pain so much I cried and then I felt like throwing up, when I finally did it was like a foamy/ slimy substance .. WHAT IS THIS?? Is it normal??
My dr did tell me that if I ate too fast, I would throw up and described it as foam. Since then, I have thrown up a few times and it was foamy and lots of mucus. 🤢

Hey - question for all of you that in your post-op phase. One of the items I can have in Weeks 1 & 2 are "Strained Low Fat Cream Soup". What type of Soup would that be exactly? I'm assuming Cream of chicken would be ok. No way I'm eating Cream of Mushroom by itself. :P What else is there? Is there a Cream of Potato?? What about a bisque like Tomato Bisque?

Hey YLime, the physicians assistant in my surgeon’s office (who was sleeved a few years ago) recommended Soups by Imagine Foods. I found them at Whole Foods, but I imagine they’re available many places.
She particularly loved the potato leek (pictured below) which I found to be pretty tasty! There are lots of flavors though! Hope this suggestion helps a bit 🙃

Most surgeons regard Tomato as too acidic. Probably strained cream of chicken , mushroom, celery and maybe broccoli, although the last produces gas in some people. as does cream of asparagus. Good luck, my RnY scheduled September 5th so getting ready to start my own pre-diet. Good luck to YOU, Good luck to ME!😛👣😛

Try Campbell's Healthy Choice commercially, otherwise my other advice? Check out,the ones from Bariatric Pal Store or maybe Injury, they are crafted with Bariatric patients in mind. I keep putting off buying my Box of Month for Bariatric Pal and the only, one, being punished is ME! When you add up all the varieties of items you receive it IT IS,A GOOD VALUE!

I had progression creamy Tomato and I added about 1 tablespoon of low fat ricotta cheese to it. Cut the acidity and added a little more protien and substance to it. My surgeon had no problem with Tomato Soup. 😊

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
