Hi everyone,
I had my sleeve surgery on 6/19. I ended up staying two nights in the hospital, and I am still feeling so much pain. I am trying to sip every half hour but every sip of Water feels like it’s rocks in my stomach. My throat doesn’t hurt at all so swallowing isn’t the problem, but I feel like drinking the water hurts so much that I just want to stop sipping all together. Is this normal?

Pain and sensitivity this early post-op is normal. Try adjusting the temp of your water to see if maybe warmer or colder water doesn't feel as heavy. You are still swollen and raw, so pain and issues with anything going into your stomach at this point is going to be normal. (to some extent)

I'm sorry you're in so much pain, but getting liquids in is vital. If sipping isn't working for you right now, try sugar-free popsicles. Since the liquid goes down in such minute quantities, they might be easier for your tummy to handle. Hope this helps!

Try sucking on some ice instead. Basically the same idea as the sugar free popsicles mentioned above. I loved the hospital ice, it was perfect.
