GastricSleeve2018 14 Posted June 21, 2018 I am 20 days post-op. I am on full liquids but the example only says broth as far as Soups go. My energy is low. I am hoping for a Soup. Protein Shakes are all the calories I get.
sillykitty 10,776 Posted June 21, 2018 Ask your surgeon's team. For my program, full liquids meant anything that could fit through a straw.
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted June 21, 2018 (edited) Most bisques are made with tons of butter and heavy cream. A bowl of lobster bisque at Red Lobster has 610 calories and 40 grams of fat, 46 carbs and 15g of Protein. Bisques are sort of a terrible food choice because you're really not getting much nutrition for the calories involved. Most of the calories are fat. Also, I'd be very concerned that a meal that fatty would give you some digestive issues. You should talk to your surgeon's office and ask about some better choices that are open to you. Best wishes!
