Beet Juice & possible TMI

Recommended Posts

Hello! It’s been a long time since I have posted. I had the sleeve a couple years ago.

I had juice this morning that I made - it had oranges, carrots, strawberries, apples and half of a beet. The juice was dark red. I drank about 8 ounces over the course of 30-45 minutes? Or so.

Not long after that I had to go to the bathroom. It was red. I’m talking barely an hour later maybe. Urine has not been pink or red. I’m not sure if that would happen so quick? But I realize our digestion is probably a little different.

Beets can color both your urine and stool. Urine usually pink. Stool usually maroon, definitely looks like blood in the toilet.

Freaky at first, but it's fine.

Thanks all!

kathy - I’ve lost 75 pounds. I’ve been slipping lately though and I’ve gained 10 pounds over the last several months. Though I’m sure some is Water weight I know I have been eating foods I shouldn’t be eating. Slowly gaining back control. Just got a juicer and I do smoothies as well because I’m finding it easier to get in more fruits and veg this way!! I add some Protein in those also.

Now I just have to keep working on my night time snacking.

I just made beet/orange/kale juice this morning and after only a few sips I have an upset stomach. I looked it up and this is normal for beet juice. It tastes so good, but......
