I am 15 days post op and I need something to drink other then Water, flavored water, and Protein Shake. I wish I was craving something but I am not. I just need something. I tried a sip of lemonade, milk, chocolate milk, Gatorade, and a strawberry slush. Nothing is satisfying, or seems to be what I want. Im so over water...

How about sugar free Popcicles. They will help with your fluids and they taste good too. I love the tropical ones they are yummy. I know you said you are so over the Water but you can pick up Sugar Free additives that you add to you water. They cost $1.00 at the Dollar Tree etc. They have Orange Crush flavor, Root Beer, tropical punch flavored. They taste just like a soda pop without the carbonation. They helped me a lot during the hard to drink water time. If you can stand your water cold, I found I have to have mine extra cold. Maybe some green tea will help too. Lipton has some Sugar Free Mixed berry, Citrus and my fav Peach tea. Those can help to get it in. Sorry for my ramble, I think I write like my mind thinks. LOL

Yep i love the popsicles, and yes i have the flavor packets for my Water. I have tried so many flavors and yes the orange crush, and root beer taste like the soda but They get old quick, and the popsicle is not a drink, but yes i love the flavors. It just seems like those are still just flavors of Water...lol i know its weird, i have always loved water, and constantly eating ice it just seems even all the differences in taste they dont give me what im searching for. Im gonna try tea. And see if it helps. Oh im soooo thankful for this to be my biggest problem. Thank you shedo

If you're missing "meals", try something savory. You can eat pretty much any Soup out there if you strain out the chunks. (I'm assuming you're on full liquids because of the milk.) After the soup is heated, you can stir in some unflavored Protein Powder to increase the Protein. Soup counts toward your Fluid goal. There are a lot of good choices now in the grocery store. It doesn't need to be "chicken & stars"!

But don't add the protein powder before you heat the soup! It can get all clumpy. UGH!

I couldn't handle the "sweet" overload. Good luck!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
