Buonnatale 22 Posted June 23, 2018 I lost nothing for a week post op. As a matter of fact, Im pretty sure I gained a lb. i went to my one week appt and cried my eyes out when they weighed me. The doctor explained that it will come off... the following week I was down 10 lbs and have lost 25 lbs post op so far...now Im at the dreaded 3 weeks stall... Believe me, I know its hard. I told my husband that I wish I could fast forward to a year from now lol. 1 gwndls36 reacted to this
disa12 2 Posted June 23, 2018 Brassapple: 1st congratulations on that 18 pounds! You should be proud! You are rocking it! 2nd- of course you’re hungry w/ Soup and drinking your protein! I would be too! My doc only had me on a liquid diet for a week post -surgery and then they told me to starting food. But soft foods, my staples are Turkey chili , eggs, Greek yogurt and organic apple sauce. Sometimes chicken, bits hard to get down. Maybe some soft foods will help. 3rd- your body and hormones are changing, depression is normal. 4th- I understand how hard this is for you. I fell and broke my foot the week after surgery, which delayed my exercise program. I was so bummed, all wanted was food. That’s when I realized that food was my friend .. it was there when I was happy or stressed, but mostly when I was sad. And it was time to say goodbye to that friend. So, even though my process was delayed, I was able to find that piece of my obesity that was the most problematic and face it. I guess that broken foot was a blessing in disguise. Please be proud of how far you’ve come and be kind to yourself! You haven’t made a mistake and you will triumph!! 1 Frustr8 reacted to this

You will freak at how different just your face looks. Mine looks like it shrunk! Good luck and take heart...you are on an amazing journey. This is SUCH good advice! Just compared a pic of my face from before the surgery to now and it's like I'm a different person!!
