So I’m having a hard time with my fast changing body. I mean I have just begun to buy new clothes (7 mos post op) because now I’m losing at a slower pace. But, in the beginning I refused to buy new clothes. I felt it was pointless, especially with the way you run through sizes and all. So, I made a resolution to only buy tights in those first few months after surgery, which I still think was the best idea! Most of my shirts still seem to fit okay to me, although recently my kids and DH kept complaining about how everything was hanging off me and made me give away my old rags ...which was cool because they bought me some new ones but I digress! Currently, I’m struggling with these new (saggier) breast 😂 ! I mean for the life of me I cannot find a bra that works well. I know I’ve gone down a few sizes and the logical thing to do would be to just go in Vicky’s and get fitted. However, i don’t want to go thru all the hassle, to buy a $50, just to drop sizes again and have to repeat the process next month. Currently, I wear one of my old bras underneath a sports bra (I know it’s seems crazy ...don’t judge me). My regular old bras still give me some support while the sports bra on top acts like Spanx, smoothing everything out. Sports bras alone seem to flatten me out, and when I’m working out I don’t mind. But, I sure could use some advice here to help find something that will help out in my everyday...that will provide that 2 in 1 (support and control) without having to wear two bras! Any suggestions?????

I get the molded cups from cacique, they are the only thing that seems to work for me. Only down side is they are $50 a pop.

I'm almost two years post-op and needless to say I feel like you have been peeping through my window. I was wearing one of my old bras under a tight sports bra. And bought tights to wear as a outfit for each day. You just discribed me to a tea. Not judging at all. Better to get fitted now and prepare to be fitted again later. I will say this, I bought my old size when I was a year out and from my weight loss, I hadn't really noticed until I put on said bra and almost tilted over. 😇 I've found one not that I truly love. I hope you find a great fitting bra...

I guess I’m going to have to come to terms with paying the cost!

Yeah I guess that’s the only solution for now!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
