Getting banded Nov.29th - Bend, OR

I am new to this, but I am getting nervous. :faint: I am scheduled to get banded Nov. 29 in Bend, OR. I have a sedintary office job, but I am worried about getting enough of everything....water, protien, etc. I have had all of my pre-op tests and all is great. How long can I expect to be out of work? Also, any ideas on post-op nutrition would be great. I look forward to all of your experienced responses.

I was band on Oct 30th. I have not had any pain. NO gas pains or anything. The full liquid diet is ok. Yes I would like to eat something more but it's fine. I never really got nervous. My surgeon was remarkable. He told me exactly what to expect and everything has gone accordingly.

You will do fine. Follow your doctor's orders. If you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.

I am going back to work on Tuesday, Nov 6th of next week. I could go Monday but I put in for one week off and I not going back until one full week.

I also do office work and I'm planning to work from home tomorrow for a week (can work virtually) and then plan to go back to the office next week. If it's too much then I'll take more time off.

I teach severely autistic kids so I am up and moving all of the time. I went back a week later and was just fine... a little bruised still but fine..... Don't worry. This is the best thing I have done!

My surgery was on Thursday and I'm planning to go back on Tuesday. I teach at a community college so it shouldn't be too taxing. I have long breaks in between classes. If I have to, I can teach sitting down as my lessons are on PowerPoint.

I'm feeling pretty good today and think I could go back tomorrow if I had to but I'm glad I'm waiting until Tuesday, not so much because of the pain but because I might still be tired.
