Everything changes after you get your fill!

I was banded in May. I lost about 19 pounds in the first two weeks on the liquid diet...and then stalled, even gaining five pounds back. Very discouraging, since it seemed like many others who got banded at the same time I did were losing much more.

So I had a fill four weeks ago, and it didn't seem to make that much of a difference in what I could eat...BUT I had a weigh-in today and discovered I've gone down another 11 pounds in the past month! Wow, 11 pounds gone with hardly any effort...that's a first for me. The net weight loss now stands at 25 pounds, which seems about right for three months post-op. It is so exciting and such a relief to finally see the scale going down.

For those of you who are still waiting to get filled, don't get discouraged! Patience definitely pays off.

Really? Good for you!! I am at the same point that you were. I had my surgery on Aug. 1st and now I seem to be gaining weight.....ugh!!! I am scheduled for my first fill on Sept. 8th--- I CAN'T WAIT. I hope that I am as lucky as you.

Thanks for the encouragement .. I'm 6 wks out today with a total loss of 12.5 lb, regained 2.5, so I'm standing at 10 lb lost .. I have no fill appointment yet, but I'm working on it. Thanks!

I was banded on july 7, I will have my first fill on september 4.

So far I managed to loose about 27 lbs.

I'm 22 weeks post op and have not yet had a fill. However I've reached a plateau, and can eat more than I think I should be capable of eating. I see a fill in the near future. So far I've been very lucky -75 lbs and no fill. It sure is nice to have that little sucker sitting there waiting to help me in my time of need.
