I'm almost a month post-op, I've lost 15-20 pounds (fluctuating). I'm having trouble with my energy levels! I get plenty of fluids and Protein and i'm taking all my Vitamins. When i get home from work i almost immediately want to fall asleep! Every day i say to myself tomorrow i will workout... I do stand and walk a lot at work, just not sure if its enough to keep losing weight, stalled just after week 1. Any other newbies struggling with energy?

Thanks for reading xx

Some people heal faster than others. Your body may still be in full-on healing mode and need the extra rest, especially since you don't have a sedentary job. Be kind to yourself and rest if you can. You just had major surgery and your body is having to adapt to not getting enough calories from your food and switching to fat-burning.

I’ve been doing a higher carb Breakfast & Protein after throughout the day. Try a banana & some good Greek Yogurt for breakfast. Also if you don’t have MyFitnessPal give it a try. You can but in your daily goals for calories carbs protein & fat. I track EVERYTHING on it including exercise & Vitamins. Hope that helps. It’s worked for me getting in the right amount of protein carbs & fat is a huge energy regulator.

My Iron and Vitamin D were really low after my surgery. I had to up the doses of both. I don't have a ton of energy now, but it's better than it was.
