Gigi_c 2 Posted June 6, 2018 Hey everyone, I’m nine months post gastric sleeve operation. I’ve lost 70 pounds, my goal is to lose another 15. Lately it’s been very hard to stay on track and eat right, since it’s much easier to eat now. I can eat anything, and I don’t know when to stop. I’ve heard A lot of stories of people that have lost A lot of weight, and then gained everything back. I’m terrified that that’s gonna happen to me. I feel like I’m doomed, most people I know that did the surgery have gained some weight back. Any advice? X Btw, I’m so thankful that I’m able to share my thoughts With you guys, and read some of yours. Thank you, much love. 1 Gigi_c reacted to this
allwet 868 Posted June 6, 2018 If your out of control you have to regain that control. 1. track everything you eat 2. prioritize Water 3. stop eating sugar - includes all the foods loaded with sugar 4. get out all those papers from your surgery and read the avoid these list again. 5. highly refined foods loaded with simple carbs are your path back to weight gain. how much of your grocery basket came from the 3 walls ? 1. produce 2. meats 3. dairy how much is from the center of the store ? 2 1 Gigi_c, GreenTealael and Matt Z reacted to this

GreenTealael 25,430 Posted June 6, 2018 (edited) I just attended a support group and a someone asked how to prevent and reverse regain and here were some things mentioned: Start planning and timing your meals again Dont eat and drink within 30 mins of each other Hydrate for the majority of your day (calorie and sugar free) you cant over eat if youre drinking No random snacking, this is grazing and leads to weight gain Weight yourself weekly, youll always know whats really going on Attend support groups Mental health is as important as physical, dont neglect it Any major changes call your Doctor immediately Edited June 6, 2018 by Tealael 1 1 Hop_Scotch and Gigi_c reacted to this
Sosewsue61 3,185 Posted June 6, 2018 Track with a free app, yes it's annoying but just do it. Use Baritastic or myfitnesspal or whichever one you will consistently use. Protein first, then vegetables, then allowed starch. Try just 3 meals and one snack - no grazing. Water, water, water. You can do it. Good luck! 1 1 Gigi_c and Hop_Scotch reacted to this
