I have a question for everyone. How long after your sleeve did you go out and lay in the sun and go in the pool? I live in South Florida and this weekend is the first weekend we have sun. It’s been raining for like the last two weeks and I want to lay out and get some color. Please let me know your thoughts?

As long as your incisions are healed and there aren’t any open wounds, according to my doc. He said that’s usually around 2 weeks post op.

I say go for it if you’re all healed. I can’t wait to go swimming but we have been having some crazy rain here

Thank you for your feedback. I am four weeks post op and my last incision that was open due to my infection just healed. Yes i was definitely going to sunscreen my incisions and still wear my one piece suit but the plan was not to stay out long in the sun, i just wanted some color, I’m turning too pale

I started indoor tanning right away but threw a towel over my belly until my incisions were healed. At two weeks, Doc said to wait one more for swimming so I haven’t sunbathed outdoors yet.

Thank you that’s what i did. I didn’t stay out long because it was hot out and the uv index was very high.
